Panorama Mountain Resort

panorama mountain resortOne of the best resorts in British Columbia can be found in this side of the Canadian Rockies.  The Panorama Mountain Village Resort dazzles its visitors with breathtaking scenery surrounding this intimate alpine village no matter what the season.

On winters, Panorama offers exquisite terrain for downhill skiers and boarders of all abilities, with groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails, as well as an abundant ski-in/ ski-out lodging, high-speed lifts and plentiful after-ski and family-friend activities in the village.  The resort also prides its hot spring pools located right at the base of the lifts where the weary bones can rest after a day on the slopes.

During the summer months, outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the resort’s mountain location to explore the area, where they can pass by bucolic hiking trails or exciting mountain-biking runs.  Those who like to play the gentlemen’s game can try their swing at Panorama;s 18-hole Greywolf Golf Course.  This course was ranked 2nd Best Public Course in Canada back in 2005.

Other exciting summer activities include interpretive walks along the meadows of the pristine Purcell Mountain, treating yourself to a relaxing spa, gaining awareness on wolf and bear conservation, white water rafting, catching trout through fly fishing, or simply enjoying the spring pools.

Panorama Mountain Village is a 3 ½-hour drive from Calgary, Alberta, or a 15-minute drive from Invermere.  It is also accessible through bus service from Banff, Alberta.  From Vancouver, drive eastward along the Trans-Canada #1, then turn south onto Highway 95 to Radium Hot Springs.
